Attorney Schurmann specialises in advising medium-sized companies on commercial law and has more than 10 years of experience as an in-house lawyer for renowned, well-connected medium-sized companies. At the same time, Attorney Schurmann is active in asylum and immigration law and has been a passionate criminal defence lawyer for many years.
After graduating from high school, Attorney Schurmann studied law at the Humboldt University in Berlin and, after passing the first state law examination, completed a one-year study abroad programme at the Università degli studi di Bari in Italy. His two-year legal traineeship then took him to Heilbronn, where he completed a training period in the legal department of the largest Italian car importer.
After passing the second state law examination in Stuttgart and being admitted to the bar in 2007, Mr Schurmann founded his own law firm based in Stuttgart with a branch office in Berlin, where he worked as a consultant and forensic lawyer for many years.
